Oeiras. Teenager arrested for raping his ex-girlfriend

A 17-year-old teenager was arrested this Tuesday in Oeiras on suspicion of aggravated rape against his 16-year-old ex-girlfriend. In a statement, the Judicial Police (PJ) reported that the investigation stemmed from a complaint from the victim.

“The events took place at the victim's residence, on at least three separate occasions, between December 2024 and February 2025,” the police authority said.

On all occasions, the suspect allegedly subjected the victim to significant sexual acts against her will, and threatened the victim by displaying a firearm, both in person and via video call.

The PJ also notes that the arrest occurred following the issuance of search warrants issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Oeiras and that the detainee will be present at the first judicial interrogation, for the application of coercive measures.
