Musk has focused on growing this business since parting ways with Trump. He is seeking $4.3 billion.

Elon Musk’s startup xAI Corp. has begun another round of talks with potential investors who want to invest about $4.3 billion in developing the next version of its Grok AI model.

In early June, the company sold shares worth $500 million and obtained bank loans worth $5 billion. However, most of the funds have already been allocated to ongoing projects.

xAI was founded by Elon Musk in July 2023. Its main goal is to develop Grok, a chatbot based on generative artificial intelligence. The last version was prepared in February 2025.

Grok AI is a free tool for all X platform users. You can use the interface via X, its website on your desktop, and as a standalone iOS app.

After ending his activity in the federal administration of President Donald Trump, Elon Musk decided to focus on developing his businesses, including improving the attractiveness of Portal X.

At the end of Q1 2025, xAI was valued by the market at around $80 billion. Since its inception, it has raised $14 billion for project development.
