What a Better World!: Policarpo kicks Zulma to protect Candinho and Samir

Zulma's attempt to separate Candinho and Samir will take a disastrous turn in the upcoming episodes of "Êta Mundo Melhor!", a 6 p.m. (Brasília time) soap opera on Globo. The businesswoman, who has long tried to manipulate the boy's life, will be surprised by an unusual reaction from Policarpo, Candinho's dumb companion, after inventing lies to separate father and son.
Zulma had previously identified the emotional connection between Candinho and Samir, becoming alarmed when she realized their bond could threaten her interests. Desperate at the closeness, she began to invent stories to prevent the relationship. However, her strategy backfired.
The situation begins to escalate when Samir escapes the shopkeeper's control and encounters Candinho in a square. The two quickly rekindle their mutual affection, sharing popcorn and engaging in relaxed conversation. Candinho notices the resemblance to the boy and asks, "Did you come from the countryside too?" while Samir admits, "I don't know where I came from…"
Zulma, upon catching the interaction, pretends she's just lovingly caring for Samir: "Samir is an angel who fell into my life!" she says, trying to convince Candinho of her good intentions. However, the boy insists on staying with his father: "I want to be with Candinho."
From there, the conversation takes an unusual turn. Candinho provokes Zulma by interpreting Policarpo's sounds: "Policarpo said you don't look like a princess, no, you look like a witch." Zulma, offended, retorts indignantly: "What an insolent idiot!"
The animal, in turn, doesn't let it slide. In an unexpected move, Policarpo delivers a well-aimed kick, knocking Zulma to the ground, leaving everyone around stunned. Samir doesn't hide his satisfaction: "Well done!"
Even after the commotion, Candinho approaches Samir and gives him a note with his address: "Samir, here's my address. Come visit me whenever you want." Zulma, still furious, leaves the place carrying the boy, but without realizing that the bond between father and son is already established.
This sequel marks another twist in the plot written by Walcyr Carrasco and directed by Amora Mautner. Set ten years after the events of Êta Mundo Bom!, the telenovela features emotional encounters and comedic moments, such as the one featuring the faithful Policarpo.
