After eight years using only her first name as her artistic identity, actress and singer Cleo decided to resume using the surname Pires , marking a new phase in her career.

The change drew attention because it occurred just three months after a controversial episode during the Carnival coverage , when the artist became angry with RedeTV! reporter Viny Vieira for calling her "Cleo Pires". At the time, she corrected him directly: "It's just Cleo" , she said.

The return of the surname was revealed this weekend during a vlog published by Maya Massafera on social media. In the video, the influencer celebrates: "Guys, look, it's back with Pires!"

Dreaming about her grandfather motivated Cleo to return to using 'Pires' as her surname

Cleo confirmed and explained the reason behind the decision. " I came back because I had a dream about my grandfather...", the actress began, being interrupted by Maya , who joked: " Calm down, before you tell me, let me laugh a little, because you already cursed me and everyone else because of this Pires."

Cleo then shared the symbolic moment that made her reflect on rescuing the family surname.

But I had a dream that was very important. I dreamed about my grandfather, Antônio Carlos Pires [1927-2005], who was also an actor. And he wrote 'Pires' in the sand, and I saw it. And while he was doing that, he was saying: 'It's your ancestry, you have to recharge your ancestry'. I woke up from that dream crazy. I sent it to everyone and said: 'Guys, Pires is coming back now
