Quarteira hosts collective graffiti exhibition «Mar de Fora»

Quarteira hosts collective graffiti exhibition «Mar de Fora»

The exhibition «Mar de Fora» will be open to the public at the Praça do Mar Art Gallery, in Quarteira, from June 8th to August 30th.

This is a collective exhibition organized by Policromia Associação Cultural, which brings together a group of artists united by a common root: graffiti culture.

They are: Cristiano Alegre, El Menau, Eric Ve, Fabio Machado, Gnosis, Helder Sousa, Huariu, Isa Neuparth, Juliano Alegre, Kong, Komer, Le Funky, Marco Nobre, Miguel Alves, Nuno Viegas, Sauk…, Sem, Sniz and Static Drama.

A sea that came from outside and came with force – originating in the United States of America – and that since the 1990s has forever transformed the lives of these individuals.

The exhibition brings together artists from various generations, from pioneers to the most recent, who have left their mark on the history of graffiti from east to west of the Algarve.

Taking graffiti as a starting point, «Mar de Fora» reveals the different paths that each of these artists followed in their artistic career.

This moment celebrates the graffiti movement and brings together, for the first time in one space, these creators and the various collectives from the Algarve.

The exhibition opens on Saturday, July 5th, at 6:00 pm, and can be visited from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, with free entry.
