Meghan Markle Finally Reveals Who Said ‘I Love You’ First in Her Relationship With Prince Harry

The second season of Meghan Markle’s Netflix series With Love, Meghan premiered today, and the Duchess of Sussex revealed a little more about her relationship with Prince Harry.

In a conversation with Queer Eye’s Tan France during the third episode, Meghan said Harry was the first to say “I love you.” Reflecting on their third date, a camping trip in Botswana, Meghan recalled, “You really get to know somebody when you’re in a little tent together and there’s like, ‘What is that outside the tent?’ ‘That’s an elephant.’ ‘Are we gonna be safe?’ ‘Yeah, you’re safe.’ ‘OK.’”

Meghan also revisited the night of Harry’s 2017 proposal, admitting that her attempt at cooking didn’t go as planned. “I was still having a lot of challenges with the conversion of Celsius and Fahrenheit,” she explained. “I made a horrible chicken that night. So the point is, you can make a terrible chicken, and someone is still going to appreciate the thought.”

She has also recently shared another personal memory with Harry on Instagram. Last month, Meghan celebrated the anniversary of her and Harry’s second date on July 4. The carousel included a photo with a plate of cupcakes in red, white, and blue, along with a selfie of her and Harry.

In the caption, Meghan wrote, “Our second date was the 4th of July 2016 and H brought me cupcakes to celebrate. Now, all these years later, our two children are in on the tradition. Happy Independence Day! May your day be as sweet as these cupcakes. 🧁”
