Ornatos Violeta and Skunk Anansie on stage at the Barrelas Festival this weekend

"After an unforgettable first edition, the Barrelas Summer Fest returns with full force on August 29th and 30th, 2025, in Vila Nova de Paiva, for a weekend of intense emotions, powerful music and breathtaking experiences," said the mayor of Vila Nova de Paiva, Paulo Marques.

Ornatos Violeta are the headliners on Friday, a day when Capitão Fausto, Gabriel o Pensador and, to close the night, DJ Fernando Alvim also take to the stage.

That night, the president told Lusa news agency, Cale del Ruído was originally scheduled to perform, but "they had to be replaced." Frankie Chavez is now part of the lineup.

On Saturday, the headliners are the British Skunk Anansie, on the same night Kumpania Algazarra, Morais, Hybrid Theory, Richie Campbell will play and, closing the concerts, there will be DJ Zanova.

According to the organization, quoted in a press release, Ornatos Violeta are “true icons of national music” and present a “poetic intensity in a show that will be recorded in history”.

"And there's more good news for festival-goers. Camping is free from August 28th to 31st at Vila Nova de Paiva Urban Park – with all the amenities for a comfortable, safe stay surrounded by nature," he announced.
