This is due to Iran's missile attack on the American base in Qatar, which resulted in the temporary closure of airspace over Qatar and Bahrain, among others. Although Trump announced a ceasefire between Israel and Iran yesterday , Wizz Air wants to wait until the situation in the region has completely stabilized.

Wizz Air has made a decision regarding flights to the UAE

There will be no Wizz Air flights to the United Arab Emirates until Monday, June 30. The Hungarian carrier has decided to suspend all flight operations to Dubai and Abu Dhabi for several days. According to Rynek Lotniczy, such a move means the cancellation of two rotations of Krakow, which were scheduled for next Friday and Monday.

Previously, in the face of a missile attack, the Abu Dhabi-based budget airline had to react quickly to escalations, redirecting its planes to Saudi Arabia, Oman, or back to their departure airports. Now, in order to guarantee the highest level of safety for crews and passengers, the carrier intends to wait with the resumption of flights until the situation is completely stabilized.

We will not fly from Krakow to Abu Dhabi

Although flights to Dubai will most likely return to the schedule soon, it does not look like the same will happen with flights from Krakow to Abu Dhabi. According to the announcement of the popular carrier, connections on this route will not take place even until mid-September. All because of the lack of profitability of such an undertaking in the face of the crisis. "Low-cost airlines do not like to add to their operations, so the Hungarian carrier will suspend flights Krakow - Abu Dhabi - Krakow from August 1 to September 15," we read in Rynek Lotniczy. The situation is similar in the case of connections to Tel Aviv.
