Tragic tourist accident in Romania. Four people, including a child, died.

A boat navigating the Danube Delta in Romania capsized on Monday, July 28, with 14 people on board. The accident occurred near the river's mouth on the Black Sea during a sudden, severe storm and accompanying high waves. Emergency services managed to rescue ten people, only some of whom were wearing life jackets. Four people died, including one child. The identities and nationalities of the victims remain unknown.

A boat carrying fourteen people suffered an accident following a violent storm. Strong winds and two-meter waves easily capsized the boat, sending the passengers into the water. Unfortunately, only some were wearing life jackets at the time – six were able to reach shore on their own. Four were rescued by emergency services, while another four could not be saved. Romanian media reports indicate a three-year-old child is among the victims. However, the exact identity and nationality of the victims, described as tourists, have not been released. An investigation is underway to determine the exact course of events.
Another fatal accident on the DanubeThis isn't the first time that Europe's second-longest river, after the Volga, has witnessed and caused a fatal accident. Last spring , a tragedy occurred near Budapest, where a small motorboat collided with a larger cruise ship.
In terms of deaths, the largest disaster in the history of this river remains the Hableány shipwreck, which occurred in Budapest on May 29, 2019. Following a collision with a larger vessel, the Hableány sank, killing 27 people. The wreck was recovered on June 11.
