Not just Ryanair. New low-cost airlines to take off from Modlin airport

Ryanair is currently the only airline offering regular flights from Modlin Airport. At the same time, they have long been in dispute with the airport's management - as soon as the fees increase, they start reducing their offer. This summer, Modlin was the only airport where the Irish carrier did not open any new destinations, deciding to launch new connections from Warsaw Chopin Airport.
This situation translates into a drop in traffic in Modlin. In May, the airport served only 267,461 passengers, which meant a 44 percent drop compared to the same period last year. Now, Rynek Lotniczy is reporting on a new opportunity for the Warsaw airport.
New line at Modlin airportOn December 20, direct flights from Modlin will be offered by the “low-cost” airline Air Arabia. They will operate daily flights between Modlin and Sharjah, a city in the United Arab Emirates.
Air Arabia flights from Warsaw Chopin Airport will remain unchanged. Passengers can now compare ticket prices – the difference on the same day is as much as PLN 1,000, although a direct flight from Modlin will take longer. As Fly4free.pl notes, the launch of this connection is also a good opportunity to plan a trip to the south-eastern part of Asia – the airline offers connecting flights at good prices.
Arab tourists like PolandAirlines from Arab countries are doing increasingly boldly on the Polish market. From June 27, tourists will be able to fly from Krakow to Riyadh on board a previously unknown airline, Flynas . Demand for tickets on this route was so high that the Saudi carrier extended the period of direct connections until September 28. For tourists from Saudi Arabia, this is a dream opportunity to escape the heat and see why Krakow and Zakopane are so popular among tourists from their cultural circle.
