In times when we pay more and more attention to ecology and take care of everyday movement, it is worth thinking about a new way of communication. Velomobile is more than just a bike, and the new model from Velomobile World will change your vacation. What is it about?

I like my job because I get to learn something new every day. I admit that yesterday I had no idea that something like a velomobile even existed.

What is it? A velomobile is usually a three-wheeled vehicle powered by pedals. That means a bicycle, right? Not really. The vehicle has a body or cover that is designed to provide protection from bad weather and space for luggage .

Importantly, thanks to its shape, the velomobile is able to reach speeds of between 30 and 50 kilometers per hour on a flat road! As you can see, the vehicle is not only suitable for regular rides , but you can also use it to go shopping , to work , or even... on vacation . Literally!

Velomobile World has just unveiled its new model, the Bülk Distance . This little wonder is built closer to the ground than other vehicles of its type, but it also needs more room to turn, which makes it best for long distances .

The Velomobile World team did everything, including advanced computer simulations , to reduce air resistance and ensure stability while on the road . That's why the vehicle is longer and narrower than its predecessors.

As I wrote, Bülk Distance was created with longer routes in mind. That's why the seat is equipped with soft padding , allowing for a comfortable, semi-recumbent position. What's more, the upper part of the cover is removable, so - if the weather allows it - you can enjoy the sun and the wind in your hair .

Bülk Distance can be equipped with both a classic pedal mechanism and a power assist engine , which can be useful during long trips. And an interesting fact for motoring fans: Eric Helter , an aerodynamics specialist who worked on such cars as the Porsche GT3 , KTM and Lamborghini racing versions, had a hand in creating this velomobile.

Price? It starts at 12 thousand euros , but manufacturers emphasize that each vehicle can be freely configured, which affects the final price.

Velomobile World emphasizes that in the vast majority of places you can use a velomobile on public streets and roads without the need for a traditional driving license .
