Free vaccinations against COVID-19 have started – check where and how to get vaccinated

From September 16, 2025, anyone who wants to can get vaccinated against COVID-19 free of charge. Vaccinations are available at primary care clinics and selected pharmacies across Poland.
Free, scheduled COVID-19 vaccinations officially began on Monday. Referrals were issued automatically – no need to collect them yourself. Importantly, the vaccination and vaccine are completely free for those covered by the program.
Some locations began vaccinating before the weekend – the first appointments were available from Friday, including in some pharmacies in Warsaw and primary care clinics.
In the autumn-winter 2025/2026 season, the public program will use the latest version of the Spikevax (Moderna) LP.8.1 vaccine.
People 12 years of age and older receive one dose of the vaccine.
People with severe immunodeficiency – are eligible for two doses , with an interval of at least 2 months (based on the doctor’s decision).
Children from 6 months of age can be vaccinated with the pediatric version of the same vaccine.
In addition to the vaccine reimbursed by the National Health Fund, commercial preparations against COVID-19 are also available – they can be obtained in pharmacies or selected primary health care facilities.
Registration for vaccination against COVID-19 is possible through:

Online Patient Account (IKP) ,
direct contact with the primary health care clinic ,
pharmacies cooperating with the National Health Fund in the field of vaccinations.

Note: Minors can only be vaccinated at primary health care clinics.

On September 8, 2025, 76 cases were recorded per 100,000 inhabitants ,

In the 2024/2025 season, over 500,000 Poles decided to get vaccinated against COVID-19. The largest group were seniors – over 100,000 people aged 70–74 . For comparison, a year earlier (2023/2024), almost 800,000 people were vaccinated.
