Polish kayakers return with three medals from the 2025 World Championships in Milan

Polish kayakers have conquered Milan! Our team will return home from the World Championships in Italy with three medals. Anna Puławska proved to be the greatest heroine of the Polish team, having twice heard Dąbrowski's Mazurka.
Anna Puławska's name has long been a household name in the kayaking world. The athlete from Mrągowo earned it through extraordinary hard work. The 29-year-old boasts numerous medals, including silver and bronze at the Tokyo Olympics.
Now, the representative of the Gorzów club has added more albums to her rich collection, and they are made of this most precious metal.
Anna Puławska reached the top step of the podium for the first time with a victory in the K-1 500-meter event. The Pole finished first, edging out Australian Natalia Drobot by 0.43 seconds. Zsoka Cikos from Hungary rounded out the top three. The key to the Polish athlete's success was her outstanding finish. It's worth noting that no Polish woman has ever won a championship at this distance.
Anna is writing kayaking history, and in golden letters at that. Puławska also won the singles title with Martyna Klatt in the K-2 500m race. The Polish team was second at the halfway point, but they managed to manage their efforts perfectly and, thanks to a brilliant finish, snatched the victory. The European champions weren't deterred by their role as favorites, and their success in Milan was achieved not only by excellent form but also by brilliant tactics.
Viktor Glazunov wins bronze at the 2025 World ChampionshipsThe event in Italy concluded with our team's third medal, won over a much longer distance. Viktor Glazunov, for he was the one we're talking about, finished third in the C-1 category over 5,000 meters.
Let us remind you that this ambitious athlete was the hero of our last year's series MISSION PARIS.
The experienced Canadian athlete admitted in an interview with Well.pl that he always sets out with a fighting spirit , aiming for a medal. Although he didn't defend his world title, he can be satisfied with his performance. Only Serghei Tarnovschi and Jaime Duro were better than the 31-year-old.
