Mobilization card - call-up rules. These people receive priority
As Super Biznes explains, citing the Central Military Recruitment Center, mobilization may include the following:
- voivodeships,
- counties, and
- specific military units.
Importantly, not everyone with category A will necessarily be called up immediately; everything depends on political decisions and whether general or only partial mobilization will be ordered.
Furthermore, there is also a group of individuals officially exempted from military service during mobilization, Super Biznes emphasizes. The relevant provisions in this matter are contained in the Homeland Defense Act. This list includes, among others:
- MPs,
- senators,
- councilors, and
- persons holding leading positions in the state.
The website states that, according to the regulations, employees of government agencies, the National Bank of Poland, the Central Anticorruption Bureau (CBA), and the Internal Security Agency (ABW), as well as units subordinate to ministries and companies providing services related to maintaining communications systems for national security management purposes , may be exempt. The same applies to defense companies and those cooperating with the military, which must ensure continuity of production and supplies.
Super Biznes notes that the assignment is made in the form of a mobilization card, which the recipient is obligated to accept. Any change of residence longer than three months must be reported to the Military Recruitment Center, but failure to collect the shipment does not exempt the recipient from this obligation – after this time, it is considered delivered .
It should be clearly stated that failure to report during mobilization will result in penalties, even imprisonment . Super Biznes emphasizes that the deadline for reporting to the designated location depends on the situation and may be six hours from the announcement of general mobilization or the outbreak of war.
The website also reminds that passive reserve soldiers with a mobilization assignment will receive the call-up first. This means that individuals without prior military experience are unlikely to be called up initially.
The military trains people with specific skills, including drone operators, veterinarians, doctors, truck drivers, IT specialists, psychologists, and laboratory diagnosticians.
It is worth adding that in 2025 the following persons were required to report for military qualification:
- men born in 2006;
- men born between 2001 and 2005 who do not have a specific category of fitness for active military service;
- people who in 2023 and 2024:
- have been recognized by district medical boards as temporarily unfit for military service due to their health condition, if the period of this incapacity expires before the end of military qualification,
- have been recognized by district medical boards as temporarily incapable of military service due to their health condition, if the period of this incapacity expires after the end of the military qualification and have submitted an application to change the category of capabilities referred to in Article 64 paragraph 4 of the Act of 11 March 2022 on the Defense of the Homeland, before the date of the end of the military qualification;
- women born in the years 1998–2006 with qualifications useful for military service, who have not yet applied for military qualifications, and women studying to obtain these qualifications, who in the school or academic year 2024/2025 are completing studies in the fields or completing education in the professions referred to in the provisions issued on the basis of Article 60 paragraph 7 of the Act of 11 March 2022 on the Defence of the Homeland;
- persons who have turned 18 and volunteered for military qualification, and persons with an unregulated military service status until the end of the calendar year in which they turn 60, if they do not have a specific category of capability for active military service and have volunteered for military qualification.
