Maciej Duszczyk, the former Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration, confirmed his resignation on Monday. This news, initially reported by RMF FM Radio, was later confirmed by Duszczyk himself on social media.
Duszczyk, nominated to the government by the Poland 2050 party, noted that his departure and its timing had been previously discussed with Marshal Hołownia and the leadership of the parliamentary club, and the solution found turned out to be optimal for all parties.
During his tenure at the Ministry of Interior and Administration, Duszczyk was responsible for the country's migration policy. Senator Maciej Żywno, commenting on Duszczyk's departure on TOK FM, described him as a "very hard-working man" and emphasized that the deputy minister "did a tough job." Senator Żywno also added that he was not surprised by Duszczyk's decision to resign. He noted that the work was "very taxing."
An important aspect of this situation is the proposal that Minister Kierwiński made to Maciej Duszczyk, as reported by TOK FM. He was offered the opportunity to either remain at the ministry for a while or continue working as an expert. Senator Żywno described this as "an important message about the quality of the minister's work."
