Ciechanów will have a modern emergency room. Construction on the expansion, which costs over PLN 56 million, has already begun.

The Emergency Department at the Specialist Provincial Hospital in Ciechanów will be expanded and modernized. The PLN 56.7 million investment is scheduled for completion in June 2027. It will significantly improve treatment conditions and the availability of emergency care.
- The Masovian government allocated PLN 54.5 million for the investment, and the Ministry of Health contributed PLN 2.2 million for the purchase of equipment.
- The expansion will include the construction of an ambulance hall, a two-station resuscitation and treatment room, an intensive care unit, isolation rooms and offices.
- New waiting rooms and an entrance hall with separate spaces will ensure patient comfort.
- Despite the construction works, the Emergency Department will continue to operate without interruption and will continue to admit patients.
The Marshal's Office of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship in Warsaw announced that the Specialist Voivodeship Hospital in Ciechanów is preparing to modernize and expand its Emergency Department (ER) – a response to the growing medical needs of the region. The ER is the largest medical facility in this part of the voivodeship, serving thousands of patients annually. It is often bursting at the seams, hence the need to expand its current, insufficient space.
The Masovian government has allocated PLN 54.5 million for the construction work, which is scheduled for completion in June 2027. Additionally, the Ministry of Health has contributed PLN 2.2 million for the purchase of modern equipment. The contractor for the project is BUDIMPOL sp. z o. o. Despite the ongoing work, the department will continue to operate without interruption.
New entrance hall, larger space and new roomsThe Emergency Department's current usable area is 862.55 square meters. The expansion will increase the facility by 1,323.48 square meters, bringing its total area to 2,186.03 square meters.
The project includes an ambulance hall, a two-station resuscitation and treatment room, a two-station intensive care unit, an observation room, medical offices, and two isolation rooms. Patients, including children, will also gain a new entrance hall with separate waiting rooms and treatment rooms, ensuring a comfortable environment.
The hospital's director, Andrzej Kamasa, emphasizes that a modern and expanded emergency department will be the best gift for the residents of Northern Mazovia on the occasion of the facility's 40th anniversary.
