Hospital reform, the psychologist's profession, and the presidential inauguration. August 4th Sejm session

The National Assembly has been convened for August 6th, before which the new president, Karol Nawrocki, will take his oath. Before that, the Sejm will hold its last session before the parliamentary recess. Hospital reform is returning, and work on the law on the psychology profession will continue.
- The 39th session of the 10th term of the Sejm is scheduled to continue on August 4-6.
- The hospital reform bill, which was unexpectedly dropped from the voting schedule earlier, is back on the ballot. The coalition lacked a majority.
- The MPs will also discuss the draft law on the profession of psychologist and the self-government of psychologists.
- On August 6, the National Assembly held the oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki.
The hospital reform bill, which was unexpectedly pushed back from the schedule on June 25th, is returning to the Sejm. On the day of the planned vote, during the second reading, the Left surprised its coalition partners.
- We will abstain from voting - announced Joanna Wicha, MP from the Left.
With the entire opposition opposed and no support from one of the coalition partners, the government lacked the majority to pass the bill. Therefore, the decision was made to postpone this item on the agenda.
The second attempt at the bill is scheduled for August 5 in the voting block at 3:00 p.m.
This will be the last session of the Sejm before the summer break for MPs.
