Another staff change in the Ministry of Health

• Marta Maciążek was dismissed from the position of director general of the Ministry of Health
• Until today (26 August), the position of deputy minister was held by Jerzy Szafranowicz, who resigned last week
• In turn, from September, Jakub Gołąb will return to the ministry as press spokesman.

Marta Maciążek took over the position at the ministry shortly after Izabela Leszczyna was appointed Minister of Health. The news of her dismissal was announced by Janusz Cieszyński, a PiS MP and former Deputy Minister of Health. Rynek Zdrowia unofficially confirmed it.

Maciążek previously worked at, among others, the Ministry of Finance and the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

Recently , he has been a member of the Council of the National Health Fund.

According to her bio on the Ministry of Health website, she has been involved in public service (with breaks) since 1999. She has worked at the Połczyn Zdrój Spa, the Ministry of Health, and a hospital in Warsaw. She also served as director of the legal department of a publicly traded company.

She graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and completed postgraduate studies in finance and accounting with elements of management accounting at the University of Warsaw. She has been a legal counsel since 1996.

Departures from the ministry after the change in the position of the Minister of Health

Let us recall that until today (August 26), the position of deputy minister was to be held by Jerzy Szafranowicz, who resigned last week (August 18).

Earlier, Renata Jeziółkowska , spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health, resigned. This was the first personnel change since Izabela Leszczyna's resignation. Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda assumed the position of Minister of Health at the end of July.

In September, after a break of several months, Jakub Gołąb will return to the ministry as spokesman.
