Pipes are a fundamental part of a home because they allow for the safe and efficient transportation of drinking water from the source to the points of consumption. When they begin to fail or become clogged, the consequences are immediate, so there's a way to unclog them and eliminate the problems they cause. This is the foolproof trick.

The Cleanipedia website mentions that one of the quickest and most effective ways to clean drains is a combination of baking soda, salt, lemon, and boiling water, which works by breaking up blockages and eliminating unpleasant odors. The procedure is as follows:

1. Pour half a cup of baking soda mixed with half a cup of salt directly down the drain.

2. Wait five minutes and then add the juice of five lemons, which will generate an effervescent reaction that helps break up the blockage.

3. After ten minutes, pour one and a half liters of boiling water to flush out the residue.

4. In about half an hour, the pipe should be unclogged.

1. First, pour boiling water into the pipe.

2. Next, add half a cup of baking soda and let it sit for five minutes.

3. Next, mix one cup of vinegar with one cup of hot water and pour this solution down the drain.

4. Let it sit for ten minutes and finally pour in a liter of boiling water to clean away any loose residue.

What precautions should be taken to prevent pipes from becoming clogged?

▪️Do not flush excess toilet paper or other waterproof papers down the toilet ; it's best to use a wastebasket. Also, do not flush wet wipes, diapers, tampons, or pads, as they are more difficult to dissolve in water.

▪️Keep food scraps and oils away from the sink. Throw solid scraps in the trash and recycle cooking oil at recycling centers to prevent it from solidifying and clogging pipes.

▪️Use strainers or stoppers in sinks, basins, and showers to catch food scraps, hair, and other debris that can enter the pipes.

▪️Collect any hair that falls into the shower after each use, especially if you have long hair, to prevent it from accumulating and forming plugs.

▪️Do not pour paints, solvents or other chemicals down the pipes, as they can cause blockages and pollute the environment.
