The formula E = mc² , which represents the equivalence between mass and energy, and which was formulated by Albert Einstein at the age of 26, is considered the most famous equation in the history of humanity.

Its importance lies in the fact that this simple expression forever transformed science and physics as we knew it, and inspired the technological advances we know today.
It also helped explain phenomena such as the Big Bang and black holes, among others.

With this formula, Einstein demonstrated that a small amount of mass can be converted into a large amount of energy and vice versa .
This made it possible to understand the energy released in nuclear reactions, such as fission (the splitting of atomic nuclei) and fusion (the joining of atomic nuclei).

This means that the equation was also fundamental to the development of nuclear weapons, although its understanding is much broader than just its application in weapons.
