AI tools save nine hours of work a week

GoDaddy, a company specializing in the management of more than 82 million Internet domain names, has presented the conclusions of its 2025 Global Entrepreneurship Survey, which highlights the growing use of social media in business success, with nearly 70% of Spanish entrepreneurs believing these channels are key to sales growth. The same report also highlights the significant value of Artificial Intelligence tools, which save entrepreneurs nine hours of work per week, according to Rodrigo Pérez Ochoa, director of international marketing at GoDaddy.
After surveying the opinions of 3,500 entrepreneurs from 11 different countries, including Spain , the report indicates that social media is not simply a marketing channel, but rather represents "a key part of the sales strategy." In this sense, from a global perspective, 23% of new entrepreneurs primarily make their sales through online channels and 21% through social media. Among the sales channels used by all SMEs, 41% have a physical location, compared to 36% that have online stores, and 20% use the telephone or email.
Pérez Ochoa indicated in an online press conference that 36% of small businesses in Spain have been in business for more than ten years, compared to the global average of 19%. Furthermore, the activity of Spanish entrepreneurs has been higher than the rest of the world, with 16 percentage points more than the same figure for the rest of the world . Regarding the reasons for launching into the world of entrepreneurship , the GoDaddy study indicates that 55% of those interviewed are optimistic about the prospects for their business and expect growth within the next 3 to 5 years. Furthermore, almost two out of three entrepreneurs (62%) of those surveyed agree that their lives have improved since starting their business venture.
The same study indicates that 45% of entrepreneurs learn about business through social media, more than from books, blogs, or Artificial Intelligence (AI), in an environment where entrepreneurs believe AI saves them around nine hours of work per week. However, in the effort to convert followers into customers, 51% of entrepreneurs agree that social media helps achieve the goal of business conversion. " It's not a lack of interest, but rather a lack of tools, specific training, support, and time to optimize processes and expand sales channels. Entrepreneurs have the compass, but they lack the map and someone to accompany them along the way," explains Perez Ochoa.
Regarding the weight of women in the Spanish entrepreneurial community, 65% of women small business owners in Spain are the primary source of income in their households. Three out of four female entrepreneurs (76%) feel confident using AI tools , and 74% consider social media to be important in their sales strategies, compared to 65% of men. Furthermore, 67% of female entrepreneurs are mothers, and 41% are millennials.
