They will hold a concert in commemoration of the April Revolution

In commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the April Revolution of 1965, the INDOTEL Digital Culture Center will hold a commemorative concert this Monday, April 28, in its on-site theater, to pay tribute to one of the most momentous achievements in the defense of national sovereignty and the popular will.

The artistic activity scheduled for 6:30 p.m., open to the public free of charge, will feature the stellar participation of singer-songwriter and former mayor of Santo Domingo Este, Manuel Jiménez .

Sharing the stage alongside him will be artists Ramón Leonardo , Xiomara Fortuna and Roldán Mármol, in an afternoon in which music will be memory, identity and an offering of said feat.

The concert aims to commemorate the events of April 24, 1965 , the date of the second U.S. military intervention in the nation. Today, six decades after this event, the struggle of patriotic men and women to defend the people is still remembered.

Regarding the April Revolution , interpreter Jiménez has expressed that even amid the pain of the transgression of sovereignty and national mourning, this feat is remembered, according to a press release.

"Even with sadness and amidst the national mourning for the lives of so many Dominicans lost in the Jet Set tragedy, we regain the strength to rise up and remember this pathetic act," he emphasized.

By organizing this activity, the INDOTEL Digital Culture Center reaffirms its commitment to promoting culture , history, and strengthening a national identity rooted in dignity and resilience.
