H&M Home’s New Collection Channels the Laid-Back Luxury of Palm Heights

Few moments capture the distinct sense of tranquility like arriving at a peaceful beachside retreat. The sound of palm fronds stirring in a gentle breeze, the earthy elements that perfectly anchor the landscape, and the inviting scent of a signature hotel fragrance weaving through the lobby. It’s an atmosphere where every detail is crafted to invite the mind to pause and unwind.
Palm Heights in Grand Cayman, a luxury hotel along the pristine shore of Seven Mile Beach, perfectly defines this immersive feeling of stillness. Now, through an exclusive collaboration with H&M Home and Gabriella Khalil, the hotel’s founder, designer, and creative director, that carefully curated ambiance is translated into a collection of elevated, livable pieces designed to bring that sense of calm right to your home, no boarding pass necessary.
The pieces in the limited-edition release range from $30 to $139 and pay homage to the hotel’s vibrant palette and lush surroundings. Expect plush striped towels that feel like a luxe embrace (and look incredibly chic rolled up on a poolside chaise), along with sculptural stone decor that instantly elevates any accent table or shelf. The collection also features sophisticated glassware and serveware, portable outdoor games made for memorable summer gatherings, and charming striped cushions designed to brighten up any outdoor space.
To gain some insight into the creative process behind this collection, we spoke with Khalil and H&M Home’s head of design, Evelina Kravaev-Söderberg. From the color palette to the textures, they shared with ELLE how they captured the spirit of Palm Heights in every detail.

How would you describe your personal style at home, and how did it inspire this collection while staying true to the spirit of Palm Heights?
“There’s a similar thread that runs through all my spaces,” Khalil says. “I’m drawn to deep browns, rich tones, bold lines and borders, and plush things like great toweling and robes—they’re already part of how I live. So it felt really natural to bring that into the collection, since it’s very much a part of Palm Heights as well.”
Which visual cues or design elements from Palm Heights felt essential to bring into the collection, and what inspired the color palette and materials?
“Palm Heights’ signature color is yellow, but we also use a lot of neutrals—creams, browns, blacks, and stripes,” Khalil explains. “That earthy mix with pops of color was key. Amber glassware, candles, and diffusers reflect the ’70s glam and playful energy of Palm Heights. It feels chic but casual, with inspired additions like backgammon and other fun pieces.”
“The color scheme came together very naturally—yellow, white, and brown felt instinctive,” Kravaev-Söderberg elaborates. “We wanted everything to feel coherent and easy to mix and match so you could buy more than one item and have them all work seamlessly together.”
What do you hope people feel or experience when they bring these pieces into their homes?
“I hope that they will feel happy!” Kravaev-Söderberg says. “The collection carries this really energetic, joyful vibe while still being comforting. It’s about making everyday life feel a bit more beautiful and intentional.”
“I feel the same,” Khalil adds. “We want people to experience joy and a sense of elevation in their space. The collection is full of thoughtful details, like the black stone accents on sandstone pieces or the plushness of the robes and towels. Those small things help create that luxurious feeling at home.”
What about the collaboration excited you most from a creative standpoint?
“We loved Palm Heights already, it’s such a beautiful place,” Kravaev-Söderberg says. “Finding out a powerful woman with such a strong creative force was behind it made it even more exciting. Gabriella has an incredible eye and was fully engaged in the entire process, from sketches to final pieces. It was her first time designing from scratch, which made it especially meaningful. Working with her and her team, having that creative dialogue, was really enjoyable.”
“The dialogue was really great,” Khalil adds. “The whole team was so passionate and enthusiastic about everything. And even though they hadn’t, actually, been to Palm Heights, I felt like they really got it. They completely understood the vibe and spirit of the place.”
Which pieces from the collection are your personal favorites?
“My favorites are the sandstone pieces,” Kravaev-Söderberg admits. “I’d pair a candle holder with the small bowl; those smaller elements come together beautifully. I’m also really fond of the beach set. I’ve been on the lookout for more stylish beach gear, and it’s so hard to find. It’s usually either Hermès or some very basic sports brands. So I’m really happy with this one, yeah.”
“Absolutely,” Khalil agrees. “For me, I love the amber-colored glassware. That set is just stunning on the table. It really gives off that ’70s vibe, which I love. And I’m a big fan of the colored robes. They’re amazing. Honestly, they’re my ultimate go-to. We tried them on and were like, “Yeah, I get it.” They’re so soft. I especially love that deep, deep brown shade. Just throw one on, and you instantly feel amazing.”
