David Ortiz promises to attend Shakira's concert in Boston

Former baseball player David Ortiz is ready for the "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour ," which Colombian singer Shakira is conducting around the world and will stop in the Dominican Republic in September.

The Cooperstown Hall of Famer was approached by Diario Libre after the Barranquilla singer challenged him to a dance at the show she will perform at Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox, on May 29.

-David, but Shakira gave you a challenge- , we told him and with his characteristic relaxed and smiling attitude he responded:

"I'm going to have to go there. I don't know if the hips are going to work , but we're going in that direction."

The businessman also expressed that the interpreter of " Waka Waka " and he have been friends for a long time and decided to collaborate in the promotion of the concert in Boston, the land that adopted the Dominican during his time with the major league team.

"Through her team and my issue , we did that collaboration on the networks to encourage people to go to the event. You know what it's like. Rex Sox for Life," Ortiz added to Diario Libre .

Shakira 's invitation

The singer, who has taken her tour through Latin America to Medellín and Mexico, made the comment through a video published on the social network Instagram , generating empathy from fans from different parts of the world, including the reaction of David Ortiz .

"Hey, Big Daddy . It's me, Shakira . Hey, I'm bringing my tour to Fenway Park on May 29th in Boston. So I wanna see you there. I heard you can dance. So show it off," he said with a smile.

" Hey, Shakira , what's up? We're waiting for you here on May 29th at Fenway Park. As you can see, it's already heating up," he said, referring to the approaching summer, while focusing on the sunlit Fenway Park stands. Ortiz then began dancing while singing the chorus of "Loca," one of the Colombian singer's hits.
