Captain America continues to lead the box office in the United States

' Captain America : Brave New World' remains in first place at the box office with $28.2 million this weekend in the United States, while ' The Monkey ' is in second place with an opening of $14 million.
This weekend's provisional figures, published by the Box Office Mojo website, position the Marvel universe superhero film as the highest-grossing film of the year with a cumulative total of $289 million since its release two weeks ago.
Disney 's ' Captain America : Brave New World,' in which Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson) takes over from Chris Evans, has reached 4,015 theaters in the United States since its release.
' The Monkey ', a horror film based on a Stephen King story, has taken second place at the box office with $14.2 million in the United States. The film is directed by James Wan, known for the 'Saw' saga, and distributed by Neon, known for 'Parasite' and 'Anora'.
Further- ' Paddington in Peru', ' Dog Man ' and the Chinese hit 'Ne Zha 2' occupy the rest of the positions at the American box office with 6.5 million, 5.9 million and 4.4 million dollars, respectively.
- The animated film ' Dog Man ', based on the comic book of the same name, has reached $14 million in revenue and is the second highest-grossing film of 2025 so far.
