22 migrants rescued in Mallorca, three of them in a semi-conscious state

Agents from the Civil Guard and Maritime Rescue have rescued 22 migrants who were travelling on board a small boat south of the island of Cabrera during the night of Monday 24 February. This was reported by the Government Delegation of the Balearic Islands.

The rescue of these 22 people began at 10:30 p.m. All the people on board were of sub-Saharan origin and three of them required medical assistance, as they were in a semi-unconscious state.

The boat they were travelling in was located 7 miles southeast of Cabrera, and the Provincial Maritime Service of the Civil Guard, Maritime Rescue and Citizen Security patrols of the Civil Guard were mobilised to carry out the rescue.
