According to the Spherical Insights report on the top countries in metro network infrastructure for 2025, Brazil is the Latin American country that stands out in this regard. São Paulo, for its part, ranks as the city with the most extensive and advanced network in the region, boasting over 400 kilometers of deployment and service. It also transports more than 5 million citizens across six lines. Furthermore, Brazil is working to modernize the Rio de Janeiro metro and promoting public-private partnership models to attract foreign investment. It is also adopting smart technologies in fare systems, route optimization, and climate-resilient construction.
