The (a)phònica festival returns to Banyoles

The Banyoles (a)phònica festival kicked off its 21st edition yesterday, with 21 performances running through Sunday, 65% of which are free and the rest at affordable prices (from €5 to €25). The capital of Pla de l'Estany will once again become the epicenter of music, hosting prominent artists from the local scene and unique voices, the festival's signature.
Els Pets opened the 2025 edition yesterday as part of their Cantant les quaranta tour. But starting today, the band will make way for other notable names such as Raül Refree, who will join forces with Italian singer Maria Mazzotta to present San Paolo di Galatina, and Tarta Relena, who will unveil tracks from their latest album , És pregunta, on the final day.
Tarta Relena, Raül Refree and Quimi Portet are some of the artists on the bill.Also appearing at the festival are David Carabén with Dani Vega, Queralt Lahoz and Cala Vento, and Roger Mas with the Cobla Sant Jordi. Judit Neddermann will present Artean , a project featuring Basque songs translated into Catalan, while Blanca Llum Vidal will premiere a musical version of her award-winning "Tan Bonica i Tirana" with Los Sara Fontan. There will also be theatrical and literary offerings, such as a monologue by Roger Coma and the presentation of the book "Cançons en bell llemosí" by Quimi Portet.
