Stable weather in Mendoza before the Zonda winds arrive: the maximum for this Wednesday

The Climate Contingency Directorate's forecast indicates a low of 7°C for tomorrow in Mendoza. Temperatures will rise on Thursday, and several yellow alerts have been announced.

The temperature in Mendoza will remain stable this Wednesday after a sunny start accompanied by a Zonda wind warning. For Thursday, however, a sharp rise in maximum temperatures is expected. Cloudy conditions and snowfall will continue in the Andes mountains, while a yellow alert for Zonda winds is in effect and a heavy snowstorm is forecast in the high mountains.

The Directorate of Agriculture and Climate Contingencies forecasts that Wednesday, August 20 , will be "somewhat cloudy" with little change in temperature. The high remains at 20°C , while the low will be 7°C , with moderate northeasterly winds. Heavy snowfall is forecast in the Andes.
On Thursday, August 21, temperatures will rise sharply, but will be accompanied by unusual conditions. A high of 25°C and a low of 6°C are expected, with cloud cover. A yellow alert is also in effect for Zonda winds in the foothills and plains —of moderate to strong intensity during the afternoon.
