In the message, the band highlighted the fundamental role that Rivers played in the sound and history of Limp Bizkit, one of the most representative Nu metal bands of the late 1990s. Sam Rivers wasn't just our bassist, he was pure magic. The pulse of every song, the calm in the chaos, the soul in the sound," the statement reads.

The group also reminisced about the years they shared on stage and in the recording studio, as well as the energy Rivers brought to the project from its inception. “From the first note we played together, Sam brought an irreplaceable light and rhythm. His talent was spontaneous, his presence unforgettable, his heart enormous,” they expressed.

The post highlights the personal and artistic bond the bassist maintained with the rest of the band, who described him as a key figure both inside and outside the band. “We shared so many moments—wild, calm, beautiful—and each one meant more because Sam was there. He was a once-in-a-lifetime person. A true legend of legends,” the message continues.

Limp Bizkit assured that Rivers' influence will remain alive in the band's memory and in the music they shared over more than two decades. "His spirit will live on forever in every beat, every stage, every memory. We love you, Sam . We'll carry you with us, always. Rest in peace, brother. Your music never ends," the statement concludes.

Sam Rivers, born in Jacksonville, Florida, was a founding member of Limp Bizkit along with Fred Durst and John Otto. With his distinctive bass playing and stage presence, he helped define the group's style, which fused elements of alternative metal, hip hop, and funk.
