Cristo Redentor Pass: A preventive closure has been announced for this Monday.

The measure will take effect tomorrow at 1 p.m. and is scheduled to last until Tuesday morning. It is due to "climate instability."
This Monday, August 18, the Cristo Redentor International Pass will be closed to all vehicles in both directions as a precautionary measure . This was announced by the National Directorate for Technical Border Affairs.
And they detailed: "After analyzing the various meteorological reports, the technical teams concluded that, from 1 p.m. until early Tuesday morning , an unstable front with snowfall in the mountains was entering mainly in the Argentine sector, making it impossible to guarantee safe traffic conditions under these conditions."
