Angelina Jolie demands compensation from Brad Pitt

In recent court documents filed by Angelina Jolie, the actress reveals she is seeking financial compensation as a result of her painful divorce from Brad Pitt, calling the process "difficult and traumatic." This legal battle, which seemed to have been settled after eight years, has resurfaced with renewed vigor.

One of the disputes between the ex-husbands began when Pitt sued Jolie after the sale of her stake in the Chateau winery Miraval , acquired during her marriage.

The actor later demanded that the celebrity release the emails exchanged with her legal team. However, Jolie argues, in a document obtained by US Weekly, that the emails are protected by attorney-client privilege. In addition, the actress is demanding payment of $33,000 to cover her legal fees .

“The events that led to my separation from my ex-husband were emotionally difficult for me and our children,” the documents read.

In her petition, Jolie mentions that she had at the time ceded control and ownership of her family homes in Los Angeles and Miraval to Pitt without compensation, hoping to ensure he could have peace of mind in his dealings with her after such a dark time.

The actress also mentions the painful impact of losing the family home, which she hasn't been able to return to with her children due to the traumatic events that led to the divorce. In search of stability, Jolie decided to move to a new home and rented a property while she found something more suitable.
