All About Brianne Howey’s Husband, Matt Ziering
Ginny & Georgia star Brianne Howey plays a woman who faces wild challenges in life and in love. But in real life, she has been with her husband, Matt Ziering, for over a decade. The lawyer has been a steadfast partner all these years as Howey built up her career and they now share one child together.
Here’s everything to know about Matt Ziering and his relationship with Howey so far.
Ziering is originally from Los Angeles and attended Loyola Marymount Law School. He went on to work as a lawyer, passing the bar in 2017. Per his X account, Ziering loves sports, especially baseball, and follows the St. Louis Cardinals, Cleveland Guardians, Philadelphia Phillies, and the L.A. Dodgers.
He and Howey share a dog named Bodie, whom they adopted when their wedding in 2020 was canceled due to the pandemic. Howey told Los Angeles magazine in 2021, “We couldn't get married in 2020, but we did get a dog.”
Ziering and Howie love dressing up for Halloween, and Bodie is often included.
They also love traveling together. Ziering’s Instagram is private, but Howey often posts shots from their trips.
The couple had mutual friends in Los Angeles, and Howey told Los Angeles magazine, “We ran into each other three nights in a row at a couple bars in L.A.”
During a June 2025 appearance on Jenna and Friends, Howey called the run-in a “coincidence” and “fate,” before sharing that Ziering admitted in his vows that he called around to find out where she might be a few of those nights.
In November 2014, Howey revealed she was seeing someone in an interview with Complex, but didn’t identify him.
“I live with my boyfriend, and we see lots of movies,” she shared. “I love going to farmer’s markets; they’re my favorite thing in the world. I just think they’re so fun; you get little samples, and you can buy flowers and fruit and stuff. And, because I’m from L.A., I spend a lot of time with my family. Luckily I get to see them all the time.”
They were married in July 2021 after plans for their ceremony were canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19. After the ceremony, held in a backyard garden in Palos Verdes, California, Howey told People, “It was the most beautiful feeling to be surrounded by so many people we love. The night was more magical than I could have ever imagined. I wish all of my nights could end with a Son of a Gun fried chicken sandwich and a Spice Girls dance party.”
Howey revealed she was expecting in March 2023, with a picture of herself in a body-hugging Hugo dress.
She and Ziering welcomed their first child in June 2023. In a post on June 18, Howey wrote, “My whole world just got a whole lot sweeter. And smaller. Welcome my little love 💛.”
Howey sometimes shares photos from their family life together, including more group costumes for Halloween.
