'Sosegá', a unique flamenco style by Cervezas Alhambra under the direction of Javier Limón

In its centenary year, Cervezas Alhambra surprises with an unexpected gift to its origins: the unprecedented creation of a new flamenco style (the name given to the different styles within this type of music), conceived alongside some of the genre's greatest exponents and inspired by the city of Granada and its way of life: without rushing. A unique gift that the artists involved in its creation have named Sosegá , the style without rushing.
This tribute to the origins of Cervezas Alhambra and to the culture of the entire country has brought together, for the first time, figures from all generations of flamenco under the musical direction of the renowned and award-winning composer and producer Javier Limón and the creative direction of the CHINA agency, part of LLYC. Together, they have created a style that aims to celebrate the slow, peaceful pace of life in the city of the Alhambra. A rhythm that reflects the 100 years that Cervezas Alhambra has been creating unique beers inspired by that particular way of being and doing of Granada, its origin.
Never before have so many artists from so many places created a new musical style, a unique and extraordinary process born from respect for an artistic expression that is our common heritage. A work in which melody, song, and dance compose a unique work that has united singers Carmen Linares, Arcángel, Kiki Morente, Sandra Carrasco, Antonio Cortés, Juan Carmona, Saúl Quirós, David de Jacoba, and Gema and Samara Carrasco; guitarists Diego del Morao and Dani de Morón; dancer José Maya; and percussionist Ané Carrasco. A new style that also seeks to endure through an invitation from Cervezas Alhambra to artists from other genres and styles to reinterpret this rhythm; a part of the project that will be revealed soon.
" Sosegá is an important milestone for flamenco culture for several reasons," explains Javier Limón. "The first is that it's the first palo inspired by the rhythms of Granada, one of the birthplaces of flamenco. Furthermore, it's the first time that such a large and diverse group of artists from different generations and backgrounds have created a palo together. From that point on, everything is done with humility. Now it's flamenco culture that has to embrace it and incorporate it so that, as they say, it eventually takes hold ." The creative process of Sosegá has been documented in an audiovisual piece produced by the renowned production company Little Spain, which offers an intimate and revealing look at the artists' work.
This documentary delves into their shared vision of a way of understanding life and creativity that is very present in Granada, the city where they come together to compose this new flamenco style. The documentary was presented this Wednesday at an exclusive event held at the Callao Cinemas in Madrid.
Sosegá thus becomes a true event in the world of flamenco, a gift with which Cervezas Alhambra celebrates 100 years of developing such iconic beer creations as Alhambra Reserva 1925. A beer that follows a slow fermentation process that perfectly reflects that characteristic philosophy that, in this centenary, is more valued than ever: the unhurried lifestyle.
In short, a unique tribute through a musical style that has long been the soundtrack of Granada, a city that flows to a different tempo. Sosegá , the slow-paced style, can now be discovered on Spotify, and through the documentary available on the brand's website and YouTube.
