The sanctuary dear to Don Bosco is the Place of the Heart Fai 2024

It is the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Graces in Nizza Monferrato (Asti), a complex closely linked to the figure of Don Bosco, who bought it in 1877 saving it from abandonment, the place of the heart most voted in the XII edition of the census promoted by the Fai in collaboration with Intesa Sanpaolo. In second place the Ancient Fountain of Gallipoli (Lecce) and in third the Church of San Giorgio in the village of Tellaro, Lerici (The Spezia). Overall, there were 221, a record, places to having exceeded the minimum threshold of 2,500 votes which guarantees the possibility of participating in the call for tenders linked to the census. A total of 2,316,984 votes were cast. The winners and final results were presented today in a press conference in the Intesa Sanpaolo conference room, from the president of the Italian Environment Fund, Marco Magnificent, from the person in charge of the program I luoghi del Cuore Federica Armiraglio, and the executive director of Communication and Image of Intesa Sanpaolo, Paolo Musso. Chairman Gian Maria Gros-Pietro sent a video message. Also present were the representatives of the most voted places. From this year the contributions made available to support projects increase to 700,000 euros, 300,000 more than previous editions. The three winners will be entitled to 70,000, respectively, 60,000 and 50,000 euros, upon presentation to the Fai of concrete restoration or cultural enhancement projects.
