The State of Things, previews: updates on the Garlasco case between alternative leads and red herrings

Last episode before the summer holidays for Lo Stato delle cose, Massimo Giletti 's programme broadcast on Monday 9 June at 9.20pm on Rai3 .
Vittorio Feltri will comment on the referendum, the developments of the wars in Ukraine and Gaza and the rift between Donald Trump and Elon Musk .
A long in-depth analysis ofthe Garlasco crime will follow. The Prosecutor's Office has reopened the case after 18 years with a single suspect in collusion with unknown persons: Andrea Sempio, a friend of Chiara Poggi 's brother. The Prosecutor's Office is finally shedding light on elements and documents that in the past were considered irrelevant. Among these are the intercepted conversations between Andrea Sempio and his father, in 2017, when the young man was under investigation. Listened to and reread today, they open up important questions that could lead to uncomfortable truths. Were there cover-ups or misdirections in previous investigations?
And then some strange testimonies that were “forgotten” in the past are back in the news today: the witness Marco Demontis Muschitta , who was considered unreliable, at the time of the facts said he had seen Chiara Poggi ’s blonde cousin on a bicycle near the Poggi villa with a fireplace tool in her hand on the very morning of August 13, 2007. Why did he retract everything after swearing on his deposition? Did something happen that made him “change his mind”?
Finally, alternative tracks such as the one that leads to the Santuario della Bozzola (which ended up at the center of an investigation in 2014): it is here that red-light parties were supposedly held since 2006. Did Chiara know about it and was she keeping some secret? And does Sempio, together with his friends, have anything to do with this story? Even the new exclusive audios that Paola Cappa , one of Chiara Poggi 's twin cousins, sent to a friend in recent months, highlight the role of the two girls in this story.
The lawyers of the two protagonists Antonio De Rensis, lawyer of Alberto Stasi, convicted of the crime with a final sentence, and Massimo Lovati , lawyer of Andrea Sempio , will discuss and discuss these issues. And then the director of “Gente” Umberto Brindani and the journalist Ilenia Petracalvina who has followed the Garlasco case from the beginning. Also in the studio are Flaminia Bolzan , psychologist and criminologist, who focuses on the psychological profile of Andrea Sempio , as it emerges from some behaviors, and of the two Cappa sisters that Paola's friend talks about, and Francesco Chiesa Soprani: it is precisely he who has received her confidences in recent months on the Garlasco case.
