The Celtic Festival's nomadic wave. Folk, metal, harps, and nighttime dancing.

From today in Montelago (Serravalle di Chienti) there will be space for a parallel reality, between fantasy and tradition.
The "Nomadic City" returns. From today until Saturday, four days of tribal drumming, folk and metal, electronic music, harps, and dancing under the stars will take place at the Montelago Celtic Festival (produced by La Catasta) in Taverne di Serravalle di Chienti. After advance bookings sold out, two thousand tickets remain available on-site during the event: a real-time counter, visible on social media channels and the official website, will monitor the remaining availability. On stage are the legendary Wardruna, featured on the soundtrack to the Vikings series; Italian power-folk act Wind Rose, known for their epic energy; Irish bagpipe master Davy Spillane, a former collaborator with Kate Bush and U2; and Japanese band Harmonica Creams, who blend Celtic melodies with blues and electronica. Also eagerly awaited are the historic reunion of Kan, the folk-punk of Germans The O'Reillys and the Paddyhats, Kalandra and Kathryn Tickell & The Darkening, as well as the bands selected for the ninth European Celtic Contest, a successful talent scout of the European folk scene.
The Tolkien Tent features a wide range of events. Guests include Loredana Lipperini, writer and journalist, who hosts the event, as well as Laura Imai Messina, Viola Di Grado, Luigi Serafini, and Silvia Ballestra. And when darkness falls, the Tent transforms into a screening room with a film festival. The Riddle Pit, a pavilion dedicated to gaming activities, also returns with 57 events, including role-playing sessions, tournaments, workshops, and demonstrations with 12 participating associations.
Montelago also offers tented stays, with over 10 hectares of free camping featuring a camper area, a resort, a family area, a mini market, and a bar. More than 60 workshops in music, crafts, history, dance, natural sciences, and stargazing are available to unleash your creativity. The evocative historic camp of Master-at-Arms Behoram Uallas hosts over 70 ceremonies, including weddings and confirmations. Paragliding flights, mountain trekking on the Montelago Walker trail, guided tours of the surrounding area, and tastings of local products are also available. There's also The Fire Circle with top fireworkers and jugglers, jam sessions on Davo's Stage, Balfolk dancing on the eponymous stage, Celtic games and sports in the Avalon Arena, as well as tents and relaxation areas. The market hosts dozens of stalls offering not only the finest European crafts, ranging from fantasy to medieval tradition, but also Umbrian-Marchean and Anglo-Saxon cuisine, prepared by local businesses. And for the little ones, there are workshops and game-adventures in the special setting of the Kids Tent.
