With 5,938,636 museum visits in 2024 (62% of Lombardy's total), Milan confirms its position as Lombardy 's cultural powerhouse: there were 222,460 more admissions than the previous year. There were 56,000 museum season ticket holders, and 16,000 junior passes, bringing children and young people between the ages of 6 and 13 to discover museums and collections. "These data aren't just a snapshot of one year, but the foundation on which we are building the path towards Milan-Cortina 2026 ," emphasizes regional councilor Francesco Caruso. The "Cultural Olympics" will also take place from October 1st to June 30th, 2026.
