La Scorticata, a gourmet spirit but a little crazy

Cucci
Wandering through festivals and villages, slowly and with a desire to discover beautiful places, a more natural lifestyle, and the many authentic products found only locally. A few evenings ago, I discovered the pleasure of an event that Italy's top chefs have been eager to attend for 25 years, so much so that they've symbolically paid for their stand. Gourmet spirit, clearly, but a bit unpredictable. Scorticata La Collina dei Piaceri is the event I'm talking about, in Torriana, which actually began as a festival 25 years ago thanks to the inventiveness of Stefania Arlotti and Giorgio Fratti of Povero Diavolo. And still, clinging up here, it retains a genuine spirit. Like many of the products found among the stalls, inspiring DIY street food. The irresistible turmeric piada with seeds from Angela di Torriana filled with Capriotta, raw goat's milk caciotta from the 'Il Satiro' company in Uffogliano, Valmarecchia, unpasteurized fermented organic lemon from Giulia Pieri from Cesena and, to toast, a sparkling Romagna bubbles, Alè, a brut white Charmat method from Podere dell'Angelo, Rimini.
