Killed and dismembered in Gemona. His mother and partner were arrested.

WATCH THE VIDEO The mother and partner of the 35-year-old man found dead, dismembered, in his home in Gemona del Friuli have been arrested. They are believed to have killed Alessandro Venier. His body was found this morning, dismembered, in a bin in the cellar of the home on Via dei Lotti, where the three lived, along with a six-month-old baby girl, the daughter of the victim and his partner.
The two women have reportedly already admitted responsibility for the murder. The deaths occurred a few days ago, and the remains were covered with quicklime, likely to conceal them and to prevent the stench from spreading.
The roles that the two women played individually in the incident and the manner of the murder, which was discovered this morning by the Carabinieri, who were alerted around 10:30 by the victim's partner and mother, remain unclear.
A 118 emergency crew arrived on the scene: the paramedics immediately realized that their intervention was unnecessary. The man had been dead for several days, and his body had been cut into pieces and placed in a large bin in the cellar. Quicklime had then been poured in several layers.
Investigators immediately turned their suspicions to his partner, a 30-year-old woman of Colombian origin, and his mother. The two women were taken to the police station. The investigation is being conducted by the Carabinieri and coordinated by the Udine Prosecutor's Office.
