Harry Potter mania in Milan: thousands of fans attend the Back to Hogwarts event.

Milan – Fans of all ages and from across Italy gathered in Milan today, Monday, September 1st, to celebrate "Back to Hogwarts," an iconic and eagerly anticipated event for Harry Potter fans. Around a thousand people—dressed up or not—filled the Teatro Nazionale in Milan to board the Hogwarts Express and begin a magical new year at the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, just like in J.K. Rowling's novels, which were adapted into a series of globally successful films.

From 8:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., special activities, surprises, special guests, and plenty of magic will take place. At 11:00 a.m., the most anticipated moment marks the actual departure of the Hogwarts Express from Platform 9 ¾. For the first time, the event, organized by Warner Bros. Discovery Italia, can be viewed livestreamed for everyone on the Harry Potter Italia social media channels (@harrypotterit), Instagram, and TikTok. Harry Potter fans will also be welcomed by themed areas and iconic elements from the saga for memorable photos and guaranteed fun, thanks to collaborations with Geox, Lego®, Roncato, and Witor's. It will also be possible to celebrate Back To Hogwarts at the cinema. From August 28th to September 3rd, Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire , the iconic fourth installment in the Harry Potter film series, directed by Mike Newell, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, will return to the cinema. It will be an opportunity for Harry Potter fans to relive the excitement of the Triwizard Tournament on the big screen, and for younger fans to see the film in theaters for the first time.
