It will take place this evening at 9 pm at Parco Teresio Olivelli in Tremezzina, during the Tremezzina Music Festival , which ends tomorrow. The repertoire is entirely dedicated to Burt Bacharach , whose unmistakable style is a blend "of classical and popular music, of sophisticated jazz-inspired harmonies and easy, catchy melodies typical of pop music, all forged by a mastery of writing and arranging that derives from his background and classical studies." Badrya Razem, with his explosive interpretative power, and his group will cover some Bacharach songs, from the classics to the more recent masterpieces linked to the collaboration with Elvis Costello, with original arrangements by drummer Fabio Accardi.
Tomorrow, the Festival's final day features two events: at 9:30 a.m. in Mezzegra's Piazza della Magnolia, Gabriele Boggio Ferraris, one of the most talented and respected vibraphonists of his generation, will perform a solo performance of Bach's Sonatas and Partitas for solo violin, incorporating moments of improvisation. To close the 22nd Tremezzina Music Festival, Swiss saxophonist, composer, and arranger Christoph Grab will take the stage, performing a tribute to the great Ray Charles. The performance will also take place at 9 p.m. in the Teresio Olivelli Park (free admission). He will present his own contemporary and timeless take on Soul Jazz with his project, Root Area.
