Giffoni Festival, Terna awards the film Isle Child directed by Korean-American Thomas Percy Kim.

On the occasion of the 55th edition of the Giffoni Film Festival, Terna awarded the “ Terna Special Award ” to the film Isle Child , directed by Thomas Percy Kim . The award was presented to the director by Carla Napolitano , Head of Innovation of the Terna Group. The national electricity grid operator is participating in Giffoni with a stand featuring the edugame XR , a game that combines learning and virtual reality to discover how the national electricity system works. and a space dedicated to the second season of the fiction podcast #NORA – Back to the Future of Energy , which reflects on the themes of #innovation , #sustainability and #energytransition .
The Terna Special Award was presented to the film by Korean-American director and screenwriter Thomas Percy Kim , with the following motivation: “ A profound story about the invisible connections that define us: between children and parents, identity and memory, present and past. The protagonist of Isle Child crosses oceans, cultures, and internal barriers to rediscover his roots. In this tension between distance and closeness, between what has been and what is possible, the film represents the most authentic meaning of connections: not simple bonds, but vital bridges that transmit energy, awareness, and transformation. Just as Terna does every day, with its network that unites territories, people, and the future.”
