From Edward Norton to Bradley Cooper, Hollywood superstars from chef Bottura for a movie-worthy August holiday

Modena, August 16, 2025 – Hollywood stopped in Modena, or rather, at Massimo Bottura and Lara Gilmore's Casa Maria Luigia . The superchef himself announced it on his social media, where he posted photos of the stars who celebrated their Ferragosto holiday at the San Damaso and Francescana estates. They are A-listers: actors Bradley Cooper, Anne Hathaway, Olivia Wilde, Zoe Saldana, Rob Lowe, Benedict Cumberbatch, Edward Norton, Oscar Isaac, Jeremy Strong, as well as model Gigi Hadid . Stars who stopped here to meet Massimo Bottura himself, who held no holds barred—as always—showing them all our beauties, the supercars, the vinegar factory, and so on. Bottura's post received numerous likes—nearly 14,000—and numerous comments, including one from Pecco Bagnaia, who quipped, "Imagine if they tasted my spaghetti with tomato sauce." But many on social media wondered what all these Hollywood stars were doing in Modena. The stellar day on Instagram was captured in photos: many of them featuring Bottura with the actors, including a group shot inside the restaurant. Then there's the ride among the motorcycles and cars, and some shots...even in the kitchen. Each image conveys a festive atmosphere , with smiles and surprised expressions.

Cooper appears to be among the most amused, between the photo in the car and at the stove, complete with apron: a different day for the American actor, director, screenwriter and film producer who, after a series of commercial films, achieved success thanks to the comedy “The Hangover” and its two sequels. What would have been the favourite dish of Edward Norton , an actor who received four Oscar nominations for Primal Fear, American History X, Birdman and A Complete Unknown? Anne Hathaway, known to the general public for her roles in the films The Princess Diaries (2001), The Princess Diaries 2 (2004), and Ella Enchanted, might also have been spoiled for choice.
