Four days of traditional Laghée sailing in Laveno Mombello

The event is scheduled for September, from Thursday the 4th to Sunday the 7th. Laveno Mombello (Varese) will host the Verbano Classic Festival 2025 , a celebration of traditional inland waterway sailing . "A true celebration of the lakeside nautical tradition, open to all," explains Paolo Sivelli, president of the Italian Historic Boat Federation and the Officine dell'Acqua Foundation.

You can participate in regattas and parades of historic boats , attend cultural conferences and concerts, visit museums, and discover the beauty of Lake Maggiore through meetings with artists and associations. Among the highlights is the 13th edition of the Verbano Classic Regatta for vintage and classic boats, hosted in the Porto Antico of Laveno Mombello.

The Palio delle "Inglesine" (pictured) will be held for the third year. These 5- to 8-meter-long pleasure boats, built from clinker mahogany, arrived over a century ago with aristocratic English families who chose Northern Italy for their holidays. Guided tours of the Officine dell'Acqua will follow.
