Everything is ready for the evening of Almond Blossom and San Calogero: Marco Gallo will host.
AGRIGENTO – Marco Gallo will host the awards ceremony for the Photography Competition dedicated to the Almond Blossom and San Calogero , scheduled for Friday, August 1st at 9 pm in the atrium of the Agrigento Town Hall . Marilena Patti will be at his side, guiding the audience through an evening that promises to be full of emotions, images, and stories.
The competition, now in its sixteenth edition , has collected over 600 photographs from more than 100 participants , including professionals and enthusiasts, becoming over the years an eagerly awaited and symbolic event, capable of recounting the spirit of the city through the eyes of those who live and observe it.
During the evening, the best photographs will be awarded in various categories: color photos , black and white , destination Agrigento and female talent – the latter in collaboration with TUA Trasporti Urbani Agrigento .
In addition to the winning shots, special awards will also be given to local personalities who have distinguished themselves for their contributions in the fields of communication , entertainment and entrepreneurship , proudly carrying the name of Agrigento beyond regional and national borders.
Among this year's winners:
- Giovanni Taglialavoro , RAI author and television journalist, former director of Teleacras;
- Daniele Magro , singer and songwriter for artists such as Marco Mengoni , also a protagonist at X Factor and currently on tour with the album L'amore non mi basta ;
- Giovanni Greco , president of the CVA winery of Canicattì , for his commitment to promoting Sicilian wine;
- Antonio, Rosario and Salvatore Mancuso , entrepreneurs of the Mancuso group , known for having brought the flavours of the island to the world with their artisanal ice creams and local products.
An evening celebrating Agrigento pride , combining art, culture, and identity. Admission is free, subject to availability.
