Soho House to Go Private in $2.7 Billion Deal Led by MCR Hotels

The members-only club operator Soho House has agreed to an equity buyout by Tyler Morse and MCR Hotels, the third-largest owner of U.S. hotels. Billionaire Ron Burkle retains control.
Soho House agreed to be taken private in a deal valuing the members-only club operator at about $2.7 billion, including debt, the company disclosed in a filing Monday.
Who's running it? An investor group led by MCR Hotels and its CEO Tyler Morse will acquire most of Soho House’s outstanding shares not owned by billionaire Ron Burkle, who will remain Soho House’s controlling shareholder and will roll over his stake, including shares held by his affiliate Yucaipa Companies. MCR, the third largest hotel owner-operator in the U.S, will become a sharehskift.
