FOR anyone travelling by public transport this summer - there's a way to get discounts on 500 attractions across the UK.

Good Journey offers discounts up to 50 per cent off for any family who arrive car-free to listed destinations from children's adventure parks to National Trust locations and even film tours.

The aim of Good Journey is to help people enjoy a day out, while still being green and ditching cars for bikes, walking, or public transport.

Some discounts include the Bridgerton Tour of Bath - as long as you arrive car-free.

The tour starts in Bath city centre at the Ale House on York Street, about 5 minutes’ stroll from Bath Spa train station - so there are lots of ways to get there.

There are frequent buses from around Bath and Bristol.

Tickets for adult admission are £19.50 - but you get 20 per cent off if you arrive on foot or by public transport.

For anyone wanting to get some good views up the Heights of Abraham cable car in Derbyshire, you can get £5 off if travelling by bus or train.

You can save on all four Diggerland parks with Good Journey and get 25 per cent off on the day tickets (excluding in July and August).

All you need to do is use the website, book a valid train ticket and print out a voucher.

Speaking to the Mirror, Good Journey’s founder and director Nat Taplin, and newly appointed CEO Louise Dando said: “We believe everyone should have access to culture, leisure and nature, without needing a car.

"We want every visitor attraction in the UK to welcome people by train, bus, bike, and foot and to give everyone the confidence to choose to travel car-free for their leisure time."

They continued: "We believe the ‘getting there’ can and should be part of the whole day-out adventure. Travelling by train or bus in the company of friends and family, or wheeling and walking can be part of the experience itself."

Other discounts include 50 per cent off RSPB Leighton Moss.

You can get 30 per cent off at five RHS gardens across the UK for visitors who arrive by train, bus, bike or foot.

You can also get £50 off your stay at Rail Holiday’s restored vintage railway carriages in Cornwall.

You can watch plays at five theatres across Newcastle without paying for your transport to get there.

When entering the attractions, you will need to show your travel tickets and online booking with Good Journey.

Here's a £5 discount card that can save families hundreds on days out and holidays.

And little-known discounts your boarding pass can get you that will save you hundreds of pounds.
