Football legend Roy Keane proved he’s still as fearless off the pitch as he was on it. The former Manchester United captain recently intervened when a female DJ was harassed by four men during his summer cruise. His quick action and no-nonsense approach quickly became a viral story.

Roy Keane shared the incident on the Stick to Football podcast. He described how his holiday almost turned chaotic on the first night. The tough-talking pundit noticed a group of men behaving rudely toward the DJ.
Keane said:
“I’ve had a great summer. No tournaments, bit of a break. I went on a cruise and really enjoyed that. I did (get annoyed on) the first night.”
He didn’t hesitate to step in when things escalated. The men were reportedly “manhandling” the DJ and being aggressive. Keane recalled:
“They were just being rude to other people, rude to the woman playing the music and getting aggro with her, and I stepped in.”

His warning to the group was direct:
“Listen lads, calm down, this is a nice boat, remember.”
Though tensions rose, Keane clarified it didn’t turn physical:
“Four of them came across ready to… no, I didn’t have them, it didn’t kick off, but it was pretty close.”
His wife, Theresa, supported his actions, agreeing the men were out of line.
Keane’s Humorous Take on the IncidentKnown for his sharp wit, Keane compared the situation to football. He joked:
“It’s like a pre-season game, Charity Shield, studs down the back of somebody.”
Despite the confrontation, he kept his distance afterward. However, he later saw the same group bothering another passenger. Keane admitted:
“I went over to support him a little bit, but it wasn’t as bad as I’m kind of making out.”
His podcast co-hosts, including Gary Neville, found the story hilarious. Neville teased Keane about “putting a marker down,” referencing his tough reputation.
