The figures speak for themselves: more than 3,500 people and 2,000 vehicles are expected for this international gathering which takes place on the Clastres circuit, in the Aisne region, near Saint-Quentin. A few days before the meeting, all over Europe, the community of fans of the Japanese brand is finishing preparing their cars so that they shine on the big day. People don't hesitate to come from far and wide to share this moment of communion around the values of the brand whose automotive activity began in the early sixties with small cars, the ancestors of Japanese kei cars. It was with the S800 launched in 1966 that Honda became known in France as a car manufacturer.
The business really took off with the arrival of the Civic in the early 1970s. Honda already stood out for its technical solutions and a design intelligence that would never leave it. The HME gathering is a rare opportunity to appreciate the manufacturer's creativity. Over the decades, Honda has made an impression with its VTEC engines, its unique design and architecture, and its sharp sports chassis. In Clastres, the nearly 2 km circuit allows some 150 Japanese models to express their sporting performance.
